Evaluations and Uniforms

Important Information for the Fall 13 Season

There are several important changes coming up for the Fall 2013 season that we want everyone aware of. 

EVALUATIONS: Evaluations we be conducted for the Fall Season. The Board will use evaluations to place players on the appropriate teams.  

• U10 and below- if there are enough players for more than one team the  players will be mixed according to ability.  U10 and below is for developing players soccer skills. There is no standings or keeping score in these leagues.

• U11 and above- players will be evaluated and placed according to ability.
• Age groups with enough players for two teams an “A” and a “B” team will be created.
• If there are too many players for a roster and not enough for a second team cuts may occur.

Tentative Dates: June 8 and 22. A player must attend at least one of these dates.  Any player who misses evaluations will be place on a team only if space is available.  More details to follow.

Uniforms for Fall 13 Season: each player will be required to purchase a uniform. The uniforms will be owned by the player and the responsibility of that player. The goal is to have the uniforms last for 4 seasons (2 yrs).  The cost of the uniform will be $50. The club does not make any money on uniforms; they are sold to the players at cost.

MYSA Concussion Policy

 

The Massachusetts Youth Soccer policy  on concussions is intended to be clear and unambiguous so as to accurately reflect the seriousness of concussion-related injuries and our unwavering commitment to keeping our children safe.

 

A player removed from participation as a result of a head injury or symptoms similar to those of a concussion shall not be permitted to return to play to any extent until they have provided their team coach with a written unconditional “Medical Clearance to Return to Play” from a licensed Medical Doctor.

 

It is our expectation that this policy will clarify protective measures for all involved in youth soccer in Massachusetts and simplify communication between coaches and parents when concussion related issues arise.

Soccer City teams up to help Paper City Soccer

We are  pleased to announce that Soccer City has developed a program that will help support our club and save you money.

The Soccer Shop at Soccer City in Wilbraham and online at the Gol Store are both working with Paper City Soccer Club to help meet all of your soccer equipment needs.

Soccer City will assign each  player a membership number that will give them 10% off their purchases. 

Any purchase of Adidas equipment will also help support our club!
